8th St.Crucifix
I was walking down 88th Street on my way home and this accidental piece of sculpture popped into view. It is a support beam for the scaffolding that is so ever present in New York. But having been educated in catholic school and having looked at crucifixes every day for the first fifteen years of my life, I was stunned by the "crucifix" standing there on 88th St. Where are the centurians? Can Pontious Pilate be far behind? Ah sweet memories of those anxious and always worried days. Was I next?
